|  AWF launched in October 2005. Shows are run regularly in Central Florida towns along Interstate 4. Focus has been placed on rising stars as well as a mix of established Florida stars. AWF is currently in negotiations for a television deal to further promote their product. Controversy hit AWF in August 2006 when promotion owner Dickie stripped Bruce Santee of his AWF Universal title, claiming Santee actually tapped out to the debuting Erick Stevens. Stevens was awarded the title and an open invitation has been made to Bruce Santee to return to AWF and try to recapture his title. AWF changed its business plan to focus on running Thursday night shows in Auburndale to focus on ring rentals on the weekends.
